The Grassroots Academy is designed for kids turning 5 and 6 during the soccer year (August 1 - July 31). The program is considered a coed program; however, the girls do have the option to play on an all girls team (interest permitting). The goal of the program is to teach through the use of age appropriate activities and games. Players will work on ball control, movement through games, and begin to build a strong foundation of skills. Most of all the kids will be in an environment where they are encouraged to participate, play, learn and have fun.

-8 week program.
-2 training sessions and 1 game per week.
-Training Mondays and Wednesdays, games on Saturdays
-There is a Coed or All Girls option when registering. Our ability to make an all girls teams/league depends on actual registrations and for that reason your request may not be honored.

Practice Days:	Mondays and Wednesdays 5:35pm – 6:35pm
No Practice Days:	May 27th, 2013 (Memorial Day)
Game Days:	Saturdays 11:15am – 12:15am
No Game Days:	May 25th, 2013 (Memorial Day Weekend)
Where:	TBD, either at Synthetic fields or grass fields between Colter and Middle School.
Jersey Price:	$45.00 (Includes 2 jerseys and 1 short. If you purchased a new uniform in Fall 2010 or after you will not need to purchase a new set. The uniform set will be utilized for all JHYS Academy programs. A new uniform set or pieces can be purchased at the soccer office).

ONLINE Registration Begins February 1st, 2013 Registration ends March 23, 2013. Registration is first come first serve. We anticipate that our programs will fill to capacity. Please register early to help us prepare for the upcoming season.

Enjoy the greatest sport in the world with our Summer Recreational League. The league is designed to allow each player ample opportunities to play the game. Volunteer coaches coach two nights a week and there are no practice days. The Summer Recreational League is all about letting the kids play the game. The League is a great way to introduce the game of soccer to kids that have never played the sport. It is also a good opportunity for returning players to continue practicing their skills during the summer. Game format is 3v3 or 4v4 with a maximum of 7 players on each team.
