United - Development Focused Travel Soccer
Spring 2027 Registration Now Open
United is Jackson Hole Youth Soccer's development-focused travel soccer program, designed for U9-U14 players ready to take the next step in their soccer development. Through quality coaching, age-appropriate training, and meaningful competition, United provides a positive, challenging, and supportive environment where players can improve their skills, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love of the game.
Our philosophy emphasizes long-term player development over short-term results. Guided by U.S. Soccer's Player Development Initiatives, we believe competition plays an important role in helping players grow, overcome adversity, and work together toward shared goals.
United is recommended for players with previous soccer experience, a solid understanding of the game's fundamentals, and an interest in developing their skills in a more competitive environment.
Team Formation & Player Development
JHYS is committed to placing players in environments where they are appropriately challenged, can contribute meaningfully, and have opportunities to grow.
United follows a progressive approach to team formation:
U9–U11: Development-focused teams, with balanced rosters when multiple teams are formed within an age group.
U12–U14: Tiered teams based on player assessments, developmental needs, and overall team balance, providing appropriate levels of competition as players mature.
Age groups may be combined when necessary to maintain healthy roster sizes and positive team environments. While we strive to keep teams consistent between fall and spring, roster adjustments may be made based on player development, enrollment, and team needs.
Team placement is one part of a player's long-term development, not a fixed measure of their ability or potential.

Player & Family Commitment
United is designed for players who are excited to develop their skills, challenge themselves, and contribute to a team environment. Families should be prepared to prioritize regular practice attendance and participation in scheduled games and tournaments.
We recognize that young athletes have other interests and commitments, and encourage families to communicate scheduling conflicts with coaches in advance. Consistent participation supports both individual development and a positive team experience.
Playing Time Philosophy
All United players should have meaningful opportunities to develop and contribute during games. While playing time may vary based on attendance, effort, game situations, and team needs, our coaches prioritize providing every player with a positive and developmentally appropriate competitive experience.
